We have always been devoted to delivering Japanese culture to the rest of the world, and we receive a lot of feedback about our service, products, etc. Now, we’d like to share a story with you about an opportunity we had to share our products and culture.

One day in summer 2016, we received an e-mail from one of our loyal readers in Malaysia. In it was some information about a big Bon O’dori event in Kuala Lumpur that was held in July. It included some absolutely gorgeous photos too. We were all very impressed when we saw them!

We posted this amazing event on Facebook and in our newsletter. Instantly, we received a huge reaction from many people all over the globe. Our frequently-updated newsletter has always been a big hit though. (^_~)

One of our regular readers, David from the United States, kindly shared some information with us about a festival in Tennessee, the 3rd Knox Asian Festival would take place on August 28, 2016.
Once again, David-san, thank you very much for thinking of us and sharing this information with us!

Knox Asian Festival in Tennessee, USA

We immediately contacted the Knox Asian Festival team. It looked like such a wonderful festival, and we just had to know whether there was something we could do to promote its success. We offered to donate some of most beautiful Komon(小紋) and Hanhaba obi(半幅帯). Ms. Kumi Alderman, the Knox Asian Festival Organizer was wonderful enough to accept our offer. Thank you again for accepting on such short notice!

These Komon and Hanhaba obi were put up for silent auction (= auctions held without an auctioneer. People place their bids on sheets of paper instead.) To the successful bidder, congratulations on winning! We hope you will find a good occasion to wear them!

If you unfortunately missed the bidding, don't worry - we are here for you!
Come on in and browse our large showcase of kimonos!

Also, if you’re reading this, please feel free to share some pictures of yourself all dressed up on our Facebook page. We'd love to see them. (To anybody else who has some of our kimonos, don’t be afraid to share too!)

Just click here for our Facebook page!

Surprisingly, there was tea party in the festival! The sponsor was 縁〜ENISHI〜.(I wish I could be there!!)
We are very pleased to share Japanese culture not only Kimono but tea ceremony or whatsoever in the rest of the world.

They have Facebook page and Youtube channel. Let’s check them out!!

We were very honored to have the opportunity to assist their festival from all the way in Japan. We really wish we could have been there to see it in person, but we were still so happy to be able to see their great success on Facebook.

We will keep working hard to deliver beautiful pieces of Japanese culture to all corners of the world. You can do your part too! Please feel free to order from our webpage or share with us any information you might have about anything “Japanese” happening in your country. We would love to hear about it! (^-^)/
