It is a YUKI TSUMUGI, woven in the ISHIGE district, with aspects and texture similar to those found in INTANGIBLE CULTURAL HERITAGE items. Excellent condition for its age (i.e.taking into account its antique status). Some spots/starch spots/slight fading/blemishes over all the bolt, but otherwise in excellent condition for its age. Bolt have not been unrolled to facilitate our checking process so all spots/starch spots/slight fading/blemishes cannot be photographed. *Attention*
- For fabric crafts or for display purpose.
- Be aware of it antique nature; there may or may not be some minor dirt/oil marks/material flaws/sewing faults/color faults etc.
Plus, there may possibly be some other imperfection which cannot appear in the photos.
-The actual color is darker than the display color. * Items come with everything pictured (e.g. boxes, accessories, etc. if any).

[Yuki Tsumugi]
Yuki tsumugi is a hand-woven fabric traditionally produced in Oyama, Tochigi and Yuki area, Ibaraki Prefecture.
It’s a high quality tsumugi that was selected as a Japanese important intangible cultural asset.
Light and warm, furthermore it is tough and less likely to wrinkle. The shinier we washed it, it will not be discolored.
It takes 10-15 days to weave the plain cloth, 30-45 days to weave a exquisite Kasuri pattern, therefore, it is said to be first‐class goods among tsumugi.
