Ro is one type of gauze fabric made from silk used for Summer kimono that has a feel of transparency. It has a woven stripes pattern, and stripes patterned Ro is called Take-ro and horizontal stripes patterned Ro is called Yoko-ro.
Ro is suitable for a formal occasion so used for Tomesode, Homogi, and Komon as well as Juban for Summer, Summer mourning kimono, obi age and obi belt.

Gold paint/dyes used for ceramics and fabrics.
[ Tsuzure (tapestry weaving) ]
Tapestry weave that is woven entirely by hand (this sets it apart from regular loom weaving). The technique involves using a comb (or fingernails filed and shaped like one) to separate threads, resulting in very intricate designs.
