A Edo komon dyer.
Born in Yamanashi prefecture, and learned the dyeing methods under Shugejuto Asano, a skilled dyer in Tokyo.
Shuishi was designated as an Intangible cultural properties designated by Yamanashi Prefecture in 1976, and received the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Silver Rays in 1980.
