[Odo ware]
A style of Japanese ceramic produced in Kochi Prefecture. Around 1567 in the Edo period, Shohaku Kuno, a potter in Osaka, was invited by the lord of the Tosa Domain, and establishes the first Odo ware kiln in Odo. Odo ware generally has a white skin decorated with various methods such as sometsuke and inlay work.
