A Japanese potter in Toki city, Gifu prefecture. The master of Genkuro kiln.
Attracted by the beauty of Shino ware and Oribe ware in Momoyama period, he has been creating traditional wares with a modern sense.
1947 Born as a son of a kiln in Toki city.
1967 Graduated the ceramic course of Tajimi Industrial High School
1971 Refined his skills under Kunio UCHIDA
1973 Established his kiln “Genkuro kiln” in Higo, Mino city.
1978 Held his personal exhibition at Matsuya Department in Ginza, Tokyo. He has held many exhibitions since this year.
1983 Eshtablished new ana gama kiln.
