[Shun’ei KATO]
A Japanese potter.
Shun’ei was born to a potter family in Kyoto who was descended from Kgemasa Kato, the originator of Seto ware.
1951 Graduated from Kyoto Ceramic Training School and engaged in the family business
1974 Independent and stablished his kiln in Saga, Kyoto.
1979 Moved his kiln to Aradhiyama, Kyoto
Shun’ei has held his personal exhibitions since 1977.
