The first Yosizo was born in 1912. He established a family from his father, Yoshinosuke, and opened a pottery kiln in Gojozaka in Kyoto.
- Second Generation (Yoshizo ASAMI)
Second Yoshizo is the fourth Yoshizo’s father.
- Third Generation (Yoshizo ASAMI)
Third Yosizo is the fourth Yosizo’s uncle.
- Fourth Generation (Yoshizo ASAMI)
The fourth Yozizo was born in Gojozaka in Kyoto in 1961.
He learned potteries under his father (2nd Yoshizo) and his uncle (3rd Yosizo).
In 1992, he succeeded the 4th head of the family.
In 1995, he received a kiln name, “Yoshimine-gama”, from the old priest of Zuiho-in Temple at Daitoku-ji temple, Shodo MAEDA.
In the beginning of the Showa period (from 1926), the 2nd Yosizo was disciplined and inspired by the 5th Rokube KIYOMIZU (the great master of Kyo-yaki).
Because that happened, the 4th Yosizo is able to show his ability very enough in some works of him: vases, plates, or any others products.
He exerts the traditional technique the 5th Kiyomizu taught for him to make potteries, and he is now active to work for potteries with modern sensitivity.
