[Kei ITO] 1924-
A Japanese potter.
Kei was born in Kyoto in 1924, and won a prize at the 6th Bunten Exhibition in 1943. He graduated from Kyoto City Specialist School of Arts (present Kyoto City University of Fine Arts) in 1944 and received many honorable awards including the Grand Prize and the Minister of Education Award at the Modern Crafts Art Exhibition, the Hokuto Award and the Kikka Award at the Nitten Exhibition.
He is a councillor of the Nitten Exhibition and a regular member of International Ceramic Academy.
