[Sekizan KAWARURA]
A Japanese potter in Seto city. The master of Yanagi kiln.
He was born in 1938 in Seto city. His real name is Sekio. After he graduated Seto Ceramic High School, he refined his skills under Sho KATO (a potter) then became independent.
He won prizes at the Nitten Exhibition for many times, the Modern Craft Award at Japan Modern Art Crafts Exhibition, the Governor's Prize at the Asahi Ceramis Art Exhibition and so on.
A fellow member of Nitten, a member of the committee of Nohon Shinkogei, a member of Kofukai.
