[ Koimari ]
Imari ware is Japanese porcelain made in Arita city, Saga prefecture. The pottery style takes its name from the nearby port of Imari, which was used to ship the works around the world. Koimari (lit. "Old Imari") refers to Imari ware made during the Edo period, between the 17th-19th century. Koimari works are extremely valuable and are beloved by art collectors both within and outside Japan.
