[Shokou YAMAZAWA]
A Kyo ware potter.
 The first generation Shokou learned pottery skills under his father-in-low, Seifu Yohei III, and produced his own cray.
The second generation Shokou succeeded methods and techniques from his father Shokou I and won many awards at the teiten and the Bunten Exhibition as well as the Grand prize at World Exposition.
The third generation Shokou, the present generation, was born in 1926. He graduated Kyoto City Specialist School of Arts (present Kyoto City University of Fine Arts) in 1948 and refined his skills at Rokube Kiyomizu’s studio. Shook III won many prizes at the Nitten Exhibition, the Modern Ceramic Art Exhibition and other exhibitions.
