Sho-chiku-bai (pine, bamboo and plum blossom) is one of the most popular Japanese decorative motifs representing promise and good fortune.
[Kara-ori (Chinese weaving)]
Kara-ori (or Kara-nishiki) is a technique of weaving textiles of Japanese kimono. The woven design of kara-ori stands out from the weft and looks similar to embroidery, creating a luxurious fabric. Kara-ori kimono is known as one of the most gorgeous kimono in the county and it is elaborate outfits worn by Noh performers in women roles.
[Uchikake]
Uchikake were originally worn by women of nobility for formal occasions, but is traditional Japanese bridal costume now. It is a robe worn on kakeshita kimono, and is fastened with the kakeshita obi. It has a padding called “fuki” at the hem and is worn without making Ohashori (folded part to adjust length of kimono) as same as kakeshita.
