Attention: For Orders to the United States
Thank you very much for your continued support.
As some of you may already know, the De Minimis exemption will be eliminated as of August 29. This means that even if the combined value of the declared goods and the actual shipping cost is under USD $800, packages may still be subject to customs duties/import tax/brokerage fees/government duties.
While the exact calculation is not entirely clear to us and billing method should be noticed from UPS or so, it is expected to be along the following lines:
(Declared Item Value + Actual Shipping Cost) × 15% + Handling Fees (UPS, etc.)
After careful consideration, and given the number of orders we process as well as the fact that shipping costs are already absorbed on our side, any additional fees or charges will be the responsibility of the recipient. We will not be able to provide refunds or reimbursements in such cases.
We plan to ship orders placed before the De Minimis elimination (Aug 29) as early as possible. However, due to limited capacity in our packing department, some orders may still be shipped after the effective date.
Please make sure to read the information about the New UPS International Collect on Delivery (ICOD) Fee too.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
■ [US]New UPS International Collect on Delivery (ICOD) Fee
Effective June 2, 2025, UPS is introducing a $12.00 USD International Collect on Delivery (ICOD) fee for US deliveries. This fee will be charged directly to the US Consignee. While this fee can be avoided, please refer to the UPS website for further information on how to do so: https://www.ups.com/us/en/support/shipping-support/shipping-costs-rates.
Attention:
The de minimis rule generally exempts low-value import shipments from customs duties and taxes. However, such as brokerage fees or handling charges, can still apply due to various factors during the customs clearance process, and their exact amounts cannot be predicted or calculated in advance.
Unfortunately, if these charges are levied by customs as duties, taxes, or brokerage fees, refunds are typically not possible. We always strive to use correct declaration formats, but we are ultimately bound by UPS and U.S. customs regulations.
Thank you for your understanding.
